Vacancy on the Town of Lyons Board of Trustees
Applications Now Being Accepted
Due to the resignation of Trustee Glen Delman, effective July 21, 2025, a vacancy has been created on the Lyons Board of Trustees. In accordance with Section 2-2-20 of the Lyons Municipal Code, the Board has the authority to appoint a qualified individual to fill the vacancy until the next regular election.
The Mayor and Board of Trustees invite interested residents to apply for this important role in town governance.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must:
* Be at least 18 years of age
* Reside within the Town of Lyons limits
* Have been a resident for at least the past 12 months
Applications must be submitted by Wednesday, August 6, 2025, before 4:00 p.m. to be considered.
Next Steps:
* The Board plans to interview applicants and appoint a new trustee at a special meeting on August 8, 2025.
* The appointed trustee is expected to be sworn in at the August 18, 2025 meeting.
* The appointed trustee will serve until the April 2026 regular election.
