Please make plans to get bulk water before Friday, January 17 by 4 pm, if needed for the upcoming weekend.  Thank you.

Extreme Cold Temperatures Expected

Extreme Cold Temperatures Expected this Weekend

Brrr.... cold temps are on the way.
Winter has arrived in Colorado - and with it comes our first burst of bitterly cold weather expected this weekend. Follow these tips to help keep your homes and families safe and warm:
Dress for the weather!
Wear layers and pack a few extra warm items to keep in your car in case of emergency.
Let your water drip!
Letting the faucet in your home very slowly drip & leaving cabinet doors open for more heat can help prevent frozen pipes.
Prep Your Ride!
Stock your car with emergency essentials like a tool kit, flashlight, spare blankets and warm clothing, snacks and water, and communication devices.
Pump the heat!
Don’t turn off your furnace during extreme cold spells. Keep your furnace running steady and set to a temp of at least 55 degrees or higher.
Safety first!
Ensure your furnace exhaust pipes are cleared of snow or debris. Inside your home, check to be sure any CO2 detectors are functioning. NEVER run a generator inside your home.
Protect your furry friends
Remember, pavement temps will be even colder than air temps. Keep your pup's paws protected when outdoors, and limit their outside playtime when extremely cold.
