Boulder County Parks and Open Space Public Hearing
Integrated Weed Management Plan Meetings

Thursday, Feb. 22, 6:30 pm


Boulder County Parks and Open Space will host a public hearing and presentation of the Updated Draft Integrated Weed Management Plan. The Parks and Open Space Advisory Commission (POSAC) will listen to public comments and provide feedback for staff. Additional information and speaker sign-up links are available on the POSAC webpage for the February 22, 2024 meeting. All meetings will take place in the Commissioners’ Hearing Room, Downtown Boulder County Courthouse,1325 Pearl St., 3rd Floor, Boulder. Remote attendance and public comment options will be available.

Lyons Regional Library


On Wednesday, March 13, 2024 the Lyons Recorder and the Redstone Review will be hosting a candidate forum with a question and answer session from the public for the candidate's running for local office in the April 2, 2024 municipal election. The public is welcome to join this public forum being held at the Lyons Regional Library, to ask the candidates about issues of importance for residents of Lyons.

The town’s ice rink is closed with the warm temperatures.  All of the details are posted on the town's website. The rink will be closed when temperatures exceed 45 degrees. Please bookmark this site for ice rink updates and hope for colder temperatures.
Winter Wonderland Concerts 2024

2024 Winter Wonderland Concert

Saturday, March 9, 1 - 3 pm 

Live music returns to Lyons outdoors for the Winter Wonderland Concert Series. The final winter concert will be on Saturday, March 9th, at Bohn Park. Joe Kuckla & Irons in the Fire will be the musicians. Stay tuned for more details. 

Boulder County Community Wildfire Protection Plan

Public Input and Survey  

Boulder County has begun work on a Community Wildfire Protection Plan to identify and prioritize measures to protect life, property and critical infrastructure in the wildland urban interface (WUI) during a wildfire event. The new, updated CWPP will be completed in 2024. The CWPP includes community input and there is a public survey to gather input and feedback.  
Run for Local Office

Town of Lyons Municipal Election 

Nomination petitions have been submitted


Seven residents confirmed their paperwork to be a part of the local municipal election to serve as one of the six members of the Board of Trustees. In addition, two residents, both the current Mayor and a former Mayor also turned in their paperwork to run for Mayor in the April 2, 2024 election. 

The candidates are listed below.
This will be a mail ballot only election.  Ballots will be mailed in March.
