Main St. Streetscape Update
The traffic signal at the US 36/Stone Canyon intersection is now operating. Please be vigilant of the new addition.
Now through next week, crews will be pouring curb & gutters, sidewalks, and driveways. The business driveways are being poured at a staggered rate, to allow business access throughout this portion of the project.
Lane Closure - Friday, June 17
As the concrete cures along E. Main St., south of 2nd Ave., the crews will pour curb and gutters along the strip of Main St, north of 2nd Ave., on Friday, June 17. This process will require a westbound lane closure throughout Friday. All four lanes will be reopened by end of day Friday.
Closed Alleys
Old Main Alley (adjacent to Smokin' Dave's BBQ) and the alley south of Lyons Glenn are closed at Main St., due to concrete pouring along Main St. Anticipate the closure to be in effect through next week, with possible opening as early as Tuesday, depending on concrete conditions.

Confluence Area CIP Update
Xcel continues to install new gas lines throughout the area. The project is supported by a full crew, including traffic control. This week, Xcel project leads reported to Town staff an estimated 5-6 weeks until the gas lines are complete.
Upon gas line completion, DeFalco will pour curb and gutter and lay asphalt, after initial prep work.
Railroad Avenue Water Transmission Line Installation
Railroad Ave will have intermittent closures until June 24, 2016, as new water transmission lines are installed.

US 34 Closure & Traffic Impacts

US 34 will be open to through traffic in both directions throughout the summer. But when construction work begins in July between mile points 77 and 80 (from just east of Drake to the Cedar Cove area), there will be short-duration lane closures and traffic stops for rock-blasting operations.
October 2016 - early June 2017:
Travel on this stretch of highway will be limited to canyon residents, and emergency and essential vehicles and crews perform major rock-blasting and construction work.
This plan balances the comments we heard from canyon residents about needing to commute to work and the concerns of canyon business owners about losing customers with the need to do this high-impact work in the safest, most expedited manner.
