The 2022 series is back! Now on Wednesday evenings through August 10th. We're on to week 4!  Tonight, Wednesday, July 6 features Beth Gadbow and friends.
Fingers crossed that the rain passes through before the show!

We look forward to our partnership with the Lyons Community Foundation which supports this annual 10-week series. We expect food trucks for the remainder of the summer series!

Performance Theater Production

Performance Theater in Lyons

Free performance, Sunday July 17 7 pm

On Sunday, July 17 the Town of Lyons and The Butterfly Effect Theater of Colorado (BETC) present Dorothy's Dictionary, a powerful, heartwarming and timely new play by E.M. Lewis.  A very unique presentation of mobile theater with its own traveling stage, the BETC truck will be parked at Bohn Park, 199 2nd Ave, with free admission to the play which begins at 7 pm.  Feel free to walk, bike or stroll for this fun, family night in Bohn Park.

The mission of BETC’s new touring theatre truck program brings free professional theatre into local communities, serving people where they live. It is free to all and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. For more Information on the tour, visit: www.betc.org/truck



Lyons Flyer

Lyons Flyer Daily Transit Service


Boulder County, in partnership with the Town of Lyons, City of Boulder, Regional Transportation District (RTD) and Via Mobility Services is restoring commuter transit bus service along US 36 between Lyons and Boulder.  The service, rebranded as the “Lyons Flyer,” will replace the Y route, formerly operated by RTD. 

The transit service will operate twice daily, Monday - Friday for Lyons to/from Boulder. For complete details, visit the updated website. See you soon on the Bus!

Growth Framework Survey is now available!


The Growth Framework defines the types of land uses that are currently present or envisioned for the future in different areas of Lyons and includes an overview of Lyons' planning areas. Each area has a unique vision for the future and this framework will guide land use decisions over the next 10 to 20 years. Take the survey and let us know what you think any time before July 31!

On July 11 there will be a joint update to the Board of Trustees and the Planning and Community Development Commission. Join this discussion to learn more about the Growth Framework and hear more about next steps. A full draft of the LyonsThrive Comprehensive Plan will be available in early September, stay tuned for more input opportunities.




Art At River Bend

Sunday, July 17

Back after a brief hiatus, the popular "Art at River Bend" will take place from noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 17 on the gorgeous grounds of the River Bend event venue at 501 W. Main St. along the banks of the rolling St. Vrain Creek.  The event is presented through the cooperative efforts of the Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission (LAHC) and the Boulder County Arts Alliance (BCAA) and showcases area artists in a wide variety of media for guest's to discover and to purchase. In addition to taking in the amazing works on display, attendees also will have the opportunity to enjoy locally crafted food and drinks, live demos, children's activities, and more. The event is free to the public, with limited parking available on-site for $5. Art lovers are encouraged to walk, ride or stroll into River Bend, with free parking available downtown.  View full details.

Town Mural Project

Fall 2022

The Lyons Arts and Humanities Commission (LAHC) is working with world-renowned, local artist Android Jones to create a mural on the courtyard-facing, exterior stucco wall of Lyons Town Hall. 

This creative and engaging mural celebrates all of the wonderful, natural elements that surround Lyons. It will be visible from State Highway 7, giving travelers a glimpse of what makes Lyons unique, also offering residents and guests a striking mural to enjoy while walking to and from our parks and throughout town. Local Sales Tax

Local Sales Tax Remittance

Up 11% year to date


The Board of Trustees asked staff to share current monthly sales tax collections with residents. Each month the town's finance director updates the Board of Trustees with town financial data. Year to date sales tax collections are up 11% over the same period last year.
