In conjunction with the Town, the City of Longmont will be repairing a raw waterline system in areas south of Main Street. The project will begin in August 2020. Notices of closures and traffic impacts will be updated on this page.
August 14 – 20: 5th Ave south of Park St. Excavation and installation of vault **southbound lane closure during daytime work. Traffic will be opened up to 2-directional traffic during the night. This will limit access for homeowners: we have and will continue to coordinated with them.
August 21 – 25: 5th Ave south of Meily St. Excavation and installation of tee **southbound lane closure during daytime work. Traffic will be opened up to 2-directional traffic during the night.
August 26 – 27: Mobilize out of Lyons

August 14th – 18th : Excavating, shoring, grading, pipe preparation. August 18th or 19th : Vault delivery, crane operationsAugust 19th and 20th : Core drilling into vault, pipe connectionsAugust 20th – August 24th : Backfill, repair of Lyons Ditch pipe, final clean-up.**A specific date will be given to all affected parties of the Lyons Ditch when the repair of the pipe will take place. Stakeholders will be notified ahead of time and given time to prepare before the line will be out of service. This should only take a day to repair.
