Energy Efficiency DOLA Grant

• Lyons was awarded $20-28,000 for energy efficient lamps
• Other possible projects – CFL Bulb purchase and distribution, Town holiday lights switch to LEDs, fund PACE energy audits for businesses, neighborhood audits, finish Greenheart check-up, energy efficiency lighting in the rest of the Town buildings

Pass the information on to the respective e-mail lists to drive traffic to the Boulder County presentation

Other

• Farmette classes; Betsy wants to add SFC to the group – all agreed
• Sharon brought up the possibility of regulating private livestock and gardening – will forward information via e-mail
• Harvest Share – should the group work on a project of this type? TBD

Previous Business – Updates

• Increasing the size of the community garden – does not seem to be needed at this time
• Net metering – Justin will spearhead; need to find out where the town is and what steps would be involved to get the service to Lyons.
• Check to see if our ordinances would allow a wind turbine to be erected
• Rate structure discussion: MEAN is providing a follow-up report on rate structure relative to consumption. Can the SFC read the agreement that MEAN has with the TOWN? Julie will confirm with Howard and distribute electronically
• Investigate changing water billing structure to encourage conservation – tabled for now

Action Items

• Send ideas to the group on alternatives for the DOLA Grant  
• Everyone send bios to Kathy for Web site; Kathy work with Jacque to get the framework prepared for next meeting
• Justin to contact Brian Donnell and Howard Armstrong to get research and Town perspective regarding net metering
• Next meeting scheduled for April 9^th,  LVV, 7pm; Justin will prepare agenda and distribute ahead of time J
