Dear Eco-pass Family,
Lyons - Longmont - Denver Bus Routes Update Survey, transportation workshop and schedules below YL RTD transit route to Longmont – More Riders Needed! As you may or may not know, the YL bus to Longmont and back to Lyons started in January. This route was added as a result of a survey showing a strong demand for a Longmont route. Ridership for this route has not grown significantly in the first two months, averaging about 2 passengers per trip. So, if you haven’t had a chance to ride one of the luxurious buses, now is the time to try it. You can even get to Denver on the same bus! About 15 passengers per trip will be needed to sustain this route. Buses leave Lyons for Longmont at 6:37a and 7:07a and return to Lyons at 4:32p and 5:42p. See a schedule below or see a map of all YL stops at the RTD web site: http://www.rtd-denver.com/ Please take this survey so we can know how we can help you. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GWH39PG New Weekend Routes for Lyons/Boulder to be added in May! The schedule has not yet been finalized, but starting in May, RTD will offer a summer weekend schedule for the Y route. Approximately 12-14 hours of service on is planned for Saturdays and 8-10 hours on Sundays with buses departing roughly every hour. Bus selection will take into consideration the potential for carrying bicycles as well. Hopefully, this has been what you have been waiting for. Lyons/Boulder Y Route a Big Success Since the Lyons eco-pass program was launched a little more than a year ago, ridership to and from Boulder has increased by about 40% - from about 40 passengers/day to more than 60 passengers/day. Thanks in part to 2 additional mid-day routes and an extra morning route. See the RTD web site for the current schedule. http://www.rtd-denver.com/ Transportation Workshop (Y Makes $en$e) Wednesday, April 11th, 7:00 - 8:00 PM.
