Bounded on three sides by the North St. Vrain Creek and sandstone cliffs, Meadow Park is a community favorite year round. With seven acres of parkland which include an abundance of recreational opportunities including picnic areas, RV parking/tent camping, playground area, Lyons Whitewater Park, baseball/softball field, horseshoe pits and sand volleyball court which doubles as an ice rink in the winter, there is plenty of room to escape and take in the beauty of Lyons no matter what the season. The park is open year round and is available April 15th through October 1st for camping and RV parking for visitors to enjoy the area. The park has ten tent sites close to the river with picnic areas, and nine RV sites with full hookups. See Camping Fee Scale for prices. The Whitewater Park is a beckoning for kayakers and tubers to drop in and go for a ride. The quarter mile horseshoe shape park has 8 features that are spread out nicely with big pools and eddies. Our award-winning Whitewater Park is the perfect challenge for the novice boater and an excellent time for the more experienced. On a hot summers day tubing is also available along the river. Recent trail improvements within the park have made access easier and have created a continual trail throughout the park. Meadow Park is also home to wonderful picnic areas as well as the historic Meadow Park Shelter house that can be rented for events or parties.
