An international book release program perfect for travelers or any others who like to pass-forward books.

The Library has pre-registered labels so that if you want to participate, you can either release your own books or obtain free books from our BookCrossing set-asides, or any Sale Book.

Each release has a BCID (Book Code ID number) which, once registered, allows anyone who "catches" the book in future, to go to the website, input the BCID, and tell us where and what they caught, if they liked it, BookCrossing notifies Lyons Depot Library of any new journal entries, and we pass on updates to you.

Our favorite entry: "The cruise ship is being evacuated at the next port but I'm rescuing this book to read on shore."
