  Come discover the healing properties of the elderberry as you make your own syrup and gummies.  Packed full of antioxidants and vitamins, elderberries are a natural powerhouse and widely considered to be one of the most healing plants in the world.  This versatile berry has been used throughout history in folk medicine as an immune system booster and a natural remedy for colds and the flu.  Learn how to make your own personal supply in this class taught by certified clinical herbalist and Lyons local, Kristen Gudmonson.

Make A Sweetheart Wreath For That Special Someone



Mixed Media Art Class

In this fun filled art class you will use mixed media techniques to create a lovely sweetheart wreath.  Using various papers, watercolor and mixed media you will cut/tear and decorate varoius patterns and colors of hearts to collage onto a background to create a treasured keepsake for that special someone. Use spangles, ribbon, markers and paint to finish the look. Add secret love notes inside the hidden doors in the valentines for that extra touch. Class is taught by Trish Murtha, an artist herself, with over 30 years of experience teaching art to all ages.

Volunteering with the Rocky Mountain Botanical Garden in Lyons

The Rocky Mountain botanical garden committee would like to have young helpers create our new garden! If you and/ or your child would like to be a part of this over the summer, please email Lisa Ramsey at lramsey@townoflyons.com to RSVP for how many people are coming.  

Starts June 1st
Who: Adults and Children ages 10+
When: Tuesdays 9:00 AM-11:00 AM and Sundays 9:00 AM-11:00 AM
What to bring: Hat, work gloves, water bottle, sturdy clothes and shoes (no flip flops), wear sunscreen and bring some snacks

**Sessions will be cancelled in the event of rain or inclement weather.
